Puppenmacher (人形師 Ningyōshi) is the eighth episode of the second anime season, Rozen Maiden Träumend. It first aired in Japan on December 8, 2005.

Summary

Suigintou shows a softer side when Megu once again pleads for her life force to be used. Souseiseki has another vision of Rozen, declining a slice of watermelon to chase after him. At the doll shop, Shirosaki invites Jun to watch Enju as he makes another doll. Jun assists him as he carefully finishes the porcelain pieces and fires them in the kiln overnight. As Kanaria, Shinku, and Hinaichigo watch Detective Kun-kun, Souseiseki confronts Suiseiseki about her view of the Alice Game. Suigintou is visited by Barasuishou, who claims that Megu can be saved with the power of the Rosa Mystica.

Over a late-night cup of tea, Jun and Shinku discuss the dolls' origin and their creator, Rozen. Souseiseki buzzes about the N-field looking for Rozen, eventually finding him to be quite upset. Barasuishou taunts Souseiseki by claiming that Rozen will continue his depression until the Alice Game is finished. The next day, Jun watches Enju retrieve the pieces from the kiln and assemble the next doll. Enju admits to knowing Rozen, saying that he was a passionate man whose love for dolls has allowed his seven creations to continue living. Back at home, Souseiseki visits the gang and describes her encounter with Rozen and her desire to fight, even amidst protest from Jun and the other dolls.
